Student Best Poster Awards
To further encourage the motivation of outstanding young researchers, the Toba 2025 Japanese-French Oceanography Symposium presented Student Best Poster Awards.
The Scientific Committee of the symposium conducted the evaluation of poster presentations whose first authors were students, and selected two presenters.
Winners of the awards
The following two presenters won the Student Best Poster Awards:
- Ms. Maho TANIGUCHI (Tohoku University): Detection of Spionid Polychaetes Infesting Established European Flat Oyster Ostrea edulis in Japan
- Mr. Yusuke AMAYA (University of Toyama): Changes and Mechanisms of Deep-Water Circulation in The Japan Sea Under Idealized Global Warming
The award ceremony was held during the Franco-Japanese Dinner on November 29 at the Toba International Hotel. Each winner received a certificates of commendation, which was sent by post after the symposium.
